Join us in Atlanta, Georgia August 27th -August 29th 2021 for adult amateur boxing as Sweet Science Boxing Club presents The 3rd Annual Atlanta Open, Premier USA Boxing Masters Division Boxing Tournament (35+ years in age) August 27-29th 2021 located at The Atlanta Marriott Century Center, Atlanta, GA! NEW TOURNAMENT UPDATES FOR 2021 AND COVID UPDATES: ANY ATHLETES THAT SHOW SIGNS OF ILLNESS TO INCLUDE COLD LIKE SYMPTONS, FLU LIKE SYMPTONS, COUGH, FEVER, OR SYMPTONS ASSOCIATED WITH COVID 19 WILL NOT BE ALLOWED PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT. EVENT HOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDS ALL PARTICIPANTS (COACHES AND ATHLETES) HAVE A COVID TEST PERFORMED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF TOURNAMENT START DATE (NOT REQUIRED) ALL PARTICPANTS INCLUDING COACHES WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASK AT ALL TIMES DURING EVENT PARTICIPATION ( TO INCLUDE CHECK IN, WEIGH IN, CORNER, PRE AND POST BOUTS FOR ATHLETES) ANY ATHLETES AND COACHES NOT IN ADHERANCE OF MASK REQUIRMENT WILL FORFEIT THIER BOUT AND WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE EVENT. ONLY 2 COACHES PER ATHLETE WILL BE ALLOWED PARTICIPATION IN THIS YEARS EVENT 2021. (one coach and one usa boxing registered athlete is approved) Due to covid restrictions at this time we are only allowing 2 fans per participant per day 2021 EVENT DETAILS: Event host highly recommends booking your returning flighs for late Sunday evening after 8pm or Monday. You do not want your athlete to lose a bout because they booked an early flight. Participating athletes must posses current USA Boxing Membership for 2021. Only 2 coaches allowed per team. This year we highly reccomend all participating athletes bring their own coach. As we cannot gaurantee additional coaches for participating athletes. Participating athletes must posses 1 year annual physical 2020-2021 and Fit To Fight From from USA Boxing (Masters Boxers 35+ years in age must posses a usa boxing masters boxing physical and yellow usa boxing passbook) All coaches must posses current 2021 USA Boxing Red Coaches Book. Registered Coaches will recieve wrist bands to gain access to event and will be required to work athletes corner. (No currrent USA Boxing red coaches book with current registration for 2021. Coach will not be authorized to work athletes corner) No Current USA Boxing Registration+ No Physcial+No USA Boxing Passbook= No Boxing, No Exceptions! Event Details Friday August 27th: (Athlete and Coaches Check-in/Meet and Greet) (No Boxing) (The Atlanta Marriott Century Center) 9am-5pm - Athletes and Coaches Check in located at The Atlanta Marriott Century Center All Athletes must check in on Friday 8/27//21 Special circumstances must be cleared with event host prior to event. 7pm: Event Kickoff Meeting (Kickfoff meeting may possibility be held virtual. We will keep you posted on details as we move closer to the event) ------------------------------------------------ Saturday August 28th: (Boxing Day) Weigh ins and Doctor checks begin at 8am on Saturday Morning. Competition will start at 1pm. 8am-10am - Weigh ins/Doctor Check 11am: Athlete/Coaches Meeting 12pm: Doors open 1pm - Competition Starts ---------------------------------------------- Sunday August 29th: (Boxing Day) Weigh ins and Doctor Checks begin at 8am on Sunday Morning. Competition will start at 1pm. 8am-10am - Weigh ins/ Doctor Check 11am: Athlete Coaches Meeting 12pm:Doors Open 1pm - Competition Starts -------------------------------------------- Event host recommend Athletes book returning travel latest possible flights for Sunday evening or preferably Monday. Participating athletes must posses current USA Boxing Membership for 2021 with current USA Boxing Yellow Passbook. Participating athletes must posses 1 year annual masters physical 2020-2021 ( No current yellow book, NO BOXING) All coaches must posses current 2021 USA Boxing Red Coaches Book. Athletes Must Bring USA Boxing approved Masters Division Headgear (only Title Boxing and Ringside manufacturer a USA Boxing Masters Division Headgear with the "M" designation for USA Boxing Masters Division) ALL ATHLETES MUST BRING A USA BOXING CERTIFIED COACH OR IDENTIFY A COACH THAT WILL BE ATTENDING THE EVENT PRIOR TO THE EVENT! ---------------------------------------------------- Early registration: Feb 23- June 30 - $125 Late Registration: July 1 August 24 $175 ---------------------------------------------------- Host Hotel/Event Center: Atlanta Marriott Northeast/Emory Room Night Cost: $119.00 per nights Northeast/Emory Area 2000 Century Blvd NE, Atlanta, GA 30345, USA 404-325-0000 Please take advantage of this tremendous offer!
