USA Boxing

PURPOSE

To allow all registered USA Boxing athletes to compete for trophies at a one day show.

ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS

All USA Boxing athlete members ages 8-40.Boxers who are matched will be notified by Tournament Director no later than Aug 16, 2021.  Registration does not guarantee a bout.

COMPETITION DATES & TIMES

August 21, 2021 2 PM.

Limited to 25 bouts.  Matched bouts will be accepted by the weights according to USAB 11/17/17 Guide for Matches at the Local Level.

Spectators  

Spectators will be allowed.  Adults $10 (13 and up) Children $5 (6-12).

Spectators will enter the building through the front door. Signage will be up instructing athletes, coaches and officials where to enter. Entrance and Exit will be separate doors.

All persons entering the venue must agree to a Free from Harm form, and be free from any Covid-19 symptoms.

REGISTRATION

Entries will begin on July 23, 2021 at 5 PM and close on August 14^th at 9 PM, or when 25 bouts are met. Registrations must be completed on the USA Boxing Webpoint Age determination August 21, 2021.

To register, logon to USAB with athletes’ user name and password.  Select Events, then My LBC Events, select Sanction and click on the +Boxer Registration. It will automatically put you in correct age group, select novice for novice boxers, or just division for open boxers.  Select the weight class you wish to participate in, have parent acknowledge necessary forms.

ATHLETE DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

• USA Boxing Competition Passbook (valid for 2021)
• Physical/Fit to Box Form (must be dated no earlier than Aug 21, 2020).
• Declaration of Non-Pregnancy Form (all female athletes)
• Release to Compete with Braces (if applicable)

WEIGH INS

Weigh ins 8 AM – 10 AM.  Only 1 boxer will be allowed in the weigh in room at a time.

PHYSICALS

To be determined, either before weighins or at 12 noon.

COACHES

Coaches must be registered for 2021 with USA Boxing and have a current Coach’s Certification (completed in the last two years), and a coaches passbook to work at any USA Boxing sanctioned tournament. Only 2 coaches are allowed to be in the corner due to Covid.  Boxers are not permitted to act as a second.

EQUIPMENT

• SWA LBC #26 will provide boxing gloves.
• All boxer’s uniforms must have a color contrasting waistband.
• No adornment may be affixed to the trunks such as metal or plastic objects, sequins, etc. Trunks cannot have fabric that is partially attached and therefore able to flap with the movement of the boxer. This includes “gladiator/Thai” type trunks, fringe, and tassels.
• All other items, headgear, foul-proof cups, breast protectors, form-fitted mouthpieces, uniforms, tape and gauze, velpeau (soft stretchy cotton), sponges, spit buckets, must be provided by the participants.
•  Water will be provided by the LBC.  No concessions.  No outside food or drinks.
