PURPOSE
|
To allow opportunity for *Bantam Intermediate and Junior boxers, who meet stipulations for USA Boxing Junior Olympics, to secure LBC stipend. Maximum of 6 boxers per weight classes qualifier only.

ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
|
SWA LBC USA Boxing athlete members that are currently registered ages 11-16. Boxers who are matched will be notified by after weigh-ins
|

COMPETITION DATES & TIMES
|
Friday, May 19, 2023: competition to begin at 7:00pm. Limited to 10-12 bouts
Saturday, May 20, 2023: competition to begin at 2:00PM. Limited to 30 bouts
Sunday, May 21, 2023: competition to begin at 1:00PM. Limited to 30 bouts

Spectators
|
Must follow rules!! Receive arm band at spectators’ door. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS.
Adults(13yr & older) $20 Youth (6yr to 12yr) $10 Kids (5yr & younger) FREE

REGISTRATION
|
Registration does not guarantee a bout. All athletes wishing to compete
Must be registered for 2023 USA Boxing National Junior Olympics & Summer Festival. No weight changes will be allowed, and you must meet all qualifications for Nationals.
Registration must be completed online on the USA Boxing Webpoint under Irving PAL Presents 2023 Junior Olympics Boxoff.
Entries open May 1, 2023 8AM and close on May 14, 2023 5 PM
Age will be determined by age as of !2/31/2023.

ATHLETE DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
|
- USA Boxing Competition Passbook (valid for 2023)
- Athletes must have picture, birth certificate and physical, in book or on registrations card in front of book.
- Physical/Fit to Box Form in book (dated no earlier than May 19, 2023).
- Release to Compete with Braces (if applicable)

WEIGH-INS
|
Friday: Weigh-ins begin at 2:00 till 4:00pm. No weight allowance, must be on weight
Saturday: Weigh-ins begin at 8:00 till 10:00am. No weight allowance, must be on weight.
Sunday: Weigh-ins begin at 8:00 am for an hour or till the last boxer present steps on the scale.
*Boxers must register under the weight they are going to compete during the 2023 Boxing National Junior Olympics, no weight changes are allowed after May 3, 2023.

PHYSICALS
|
Friday: To be conducted immediately after the Draw FOR THE Unopposed JO Boxers and those boxing on FRIDAY
Saturday and Sunday: To be conducted at 9:00am immediately after weigh ins.

COACHES
|
Coaches must be registered with USA Boxing for 2023 and have a current Coach’s Certification and current Safesport, printed on membership card and attached to Coaches Red Book to work at any USA Boxing sanctioned tournament. 3 coaches are allowed to be in the corner.

EQUIPMENT
|
- SWA LBC #26 will provide boxing gloves.
- All boxer’s uniforms must have a color contrasting waistband.
- No adornment may be affixed to the trunks such as metal or plastic objects, sequins, etc. Trunks cannot have fabric that is partially attached and therefore able to flap with the movement of the boxer. This includes “gladiator/Thai” type trunks, fringe, and tassels.
- All other items, headgear, foul-proof cups, breast protectors, form-fitted mouthpieces, uniforms, tape and gauze, velpeau (soft stretchy cotton), sponges, spit buckets, must be provided by the participants.
