King of the Ring Tournament Rescheduled – Open to International Competitors

The King of the Ring tournament has been postponed to June 28-29, 2025. This ranking advancement tournament will take place at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (141 Basset Ln, Hyannis, MA 02601) and will play a crucial role in determining New England’s top amateur boxers. International boxers are also welcome to compete, bringing an even higher level of competition to the event.

USA Boxing New England’s New Ranking System

USA Boxing New England is proud to introduce an exciting new ranking system and tournament series designed to identify and develop the region’s top amateur boxers. These tournaments will determine New England champions and help select athletes for the New England High-Performance Team, which will represent the region in national and international competition.

Ranking Tournaments

Two premier tournaments will establish the official New England ranking system and identify the region’s top boxers:

1. King of the Ring Tournament

• Date: June 28-29, 2025

• Location: Hyannis Youth & Community Center, Hyannis, MA

• Open to: New England and international competitors

2. King of War Tournament

• Date: July 26-27 & August 2, 2025

• Location: Battleship Cove, Fall River, MA

• Open to: New England and international competitors

High-Performance Team Selection & Competition Schedule

Following the ranking tournaments, the New England High-Performance Team will be selected based on performance, ranking points, and overall potential. This elite team will represent the region in a series of high-level competitions, testing their skills against top talent both nationally and internationally.

Elite Competition Schedule

1. International Showdown vs. Team Puerto Rico

• Location: Puerto Rico

• Purpose: A high-intensity matchup to challenge New England’s top athletes against elite Puerto Rican boxers.

2. Homecoming Battle vs. Team Canada

• Location: New England, USA

• Purpose: A premier event bringing world-class competition to our home region while continuing to develop elite athletes.

3. USA Boxing National Championships

• Date: December 6-13, 2025

• Location: Lubbock, Texas

• Purpose: The ultimate test—competing for national titles and recognition at the highest level of amateur boxing in the United States.

These events will provide New England’s top amateur boxers with the experience, exposure, and opportunities needed to advance their boxing careers. With international competitors welcome, these tournaments promise to be even more competitive, helping all athletes push their limits on the road to excellence.
