USA Boxing

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

The USA Boxing Silver Coach Certification educates coaches on supporting boxers up to tournament competitions. It is a 16-hour course that requires the use of gloves and coaching mitts. The silver certification consists of three (3) phases, requiring a combined passing grade in each section:

1. PREREQUISITE ONLINE ASSESSMENT 
   • Disc Personality Assessment
3. CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION
   • 16-hour in-person instruction
     • Review bronze warm-up
     • Introduction to advanced skills
     • Teaching skills
     • Strategies vs. various opponents
     • Introduction to periodization and seasonal planning
     • How to review film for analytics
     • Strength & Conditioning
     • Mental tools
     • Using DISC personalities in the gym
4. FINAL ASSESSMENT
   • Comprehensive final exam
