PURPOSE
|
To allow for boxing matches for SWA USA Boxing registered athletes; also allow opportunity for *Youth boxers, who meet stipulations for USA Boxing Nationals, to secure LBC stipend.
|
|
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
|
SWA LBC USA Boxing athlete members born between 1/1/2005 thru 12/31/2006, that meet the minimum bout requirements and % of wins.
SWA LBC USA Boxing athlete members that are currently registered ages 8-40.
Boxers who are matched will be notified by Tournament Director no later than November 4, 2022. List will also be posted on Facebook @Southwestern LBC 26 Bout List

COMPETITION DATES & TIMES

Saturday, November 12, 2022: competition to begin at 2:00PM. Limited to 30 bouts

Spectators
|
Must follow rules!! Receive arm band at spectators’ door. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS.
Everyone must be free of Covid-19 symptoms.
Adults(13yr & older) $20 Youth (6yr to 12yr) $10 Kids (5yr & younger) FREE

REGISTRATION
|
Registration does not guarantee a bout.
Entries will begin on October 19, 2022 at 5 PM and close on October 31, 2022 at 9 PM. Registrations must be emailed to: Mrios.boxingfiit@yahoo.com. Please send a competitors list or text file, NO PICTURES via text will be accepted. Age determination by October 19, 2022. All entries will be on a first come, first served basis.
Nationals Boxers’ Registrations will be emailed on a separate competitors sheet to Kristy Rios @ kristyriosboxing@gmail.com**
Entries will open October 19, 2022 at 5 PM CDT, and will close when bouts are reached or when Tournament Director deems necessary.
Age will be determined by October 19, 2022, 2022

ATHLETE DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
|
- USA Boxing Competition Passbook (valid for 2022)
- Athletes must have picture, birth certificate and physical, in book or on registrations card in front of book.
- Physical/Fit to Box Form in book (dated no earlier than November 12, 2021).
- Release to Compete with Braces (if applicable)

WEIGH-INS
|
Saturday Weigh-ins begin at 8:00 till 10:00am. No weight allowance, must be on weight.

PHYSICALS
|
Saturday: 9:00AM

COACHES
|
Coaches must be registered with USA Boxing for 2022 and have a current Coach’s Certification and current Safesport, printed on membership card and attached to Coaches Red Book to work at any USA Boxing sanctioned tournament. 3 coaches are allowed to be in the corner.

EQUIPMENT
|
- SWA LBC #26 will provide boxing gloves.
- All boxer’s uniforms must have a color contrasting waistband.
- No adornment may be affixed to the trunks such as metal or plastic objects, sequins, etc. Trunks cannot have fabric that is partially attached and therefore able to flap with the movement of the boxer. This includes “gladiator/Thai” type trunks, fringe, and tassels.
- All other items, headgear, foul-proof cups, breast protectors, form-fitted mouthpieces, uniforms, tape and gauze, velpeau (soft stretchy cotton), sponges, spit buckets, must be provided by the participants.
