PURPOSE:

This competition is to serve as a platform for registered USA Boxing members to gain experience, build confidence, develop character, and showcase skills in a safe and regulated environment.

ELIGIBLE
PARTICIPANTS:
|
All currently registered USA Boxing members in the Pee Wee, Bantam, Intermediate, Youth, Junior, Senior & or Elite Divisions are eligible. Boxers matched will be notified by the Tournament Director no later than October 14th, to be posted on Facebook @Southwestern LBC 26 Bout List

COMPETITION
DATEs & TIMES:
|
October 21st & 22nd 2023 with the first bout to commence @ 1pm on Saturday & 2pm on Sunday. Limited to 33 bouts each day participants will be matched by age, weight, and experience level according to USAB National Rulebook Appendix F, Guide for Making Matches at the local level.

SPECTATORS:
|
Entrance Fees: Ages 13 & Up $20/Ages 6-12 $10/5 & Under Free. NO OUTSIDE FOOD or DRINK allowed in the building. However, spectators may purchase Food & Drink items sold on site.

REGISTRATION:
|
Registration does not guarantee a matched bout. Entries will open September 21st, 2023 and will close October 14th, 2023 when the Tournament Director has determined the necessary amount of bouts has been set. Registrations must be emailed to mrios.boxingfiit@yahoo.com. Please send via a competitors list or text file. Athlete age to be determined by October 21st, 2023.

ATHLETE DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED:
|
A USA Boxing Competition Passbook (valid for 2023), A Physical/Fit to Box Form dated between October 22, 2022-October 22, 2023 to include an attached Birth Certificate/American Flag and V present on the member profile. A release to Compete with braces also required if applicable.

WEIGH-INS:
|
Weigh-ins will take place at The Athletic Zone 423 Singleton Blvd. Dallas, TX 75212 from 8-10am on Saturday & then from 8am until the last boxer present steps on the scale on Sunday.
|
PHYSICALS:
|
Physicals will take place from 8-10am on both Saturday & Sunday at The Athletic Zone 423 Singleton Boulevard with each Athlete to report directly to the Doctor after officially weighing- in.

COACHES &
OFFICIALS:
|
Coaches must be registered with USA Boxing for 2023 to possess a current Coach’s Certification and Passbook so as to work at any USA Boxing sanctioned event. Up to 3 Coaches allowed in the corner. Background check/Safesport must also be current for all coaches and officials.
|
EQUIPMENT:
|
The tournament host will provide all competition gloves. All boxer uniforms must have a color-contrasting waistband. No adornment may be affixed to the trunks, such as metal or plastic objects, sequins, etc. Trunks cannot have fabric that is partially attached, such as “gladiator/Thai” type trunks, fringe, tassels. All other items to include headgear, foul-proof cups, breast protection, form-fitted mouth pieces, uniforms, tape and gauze, velpeau (soft stretchy cotton), sponges, spit buckets, etc. must be provided by the participants.

AWARDS:
|
Tournament winners will receive belt awards with medals to be presented to runner-ups.
Walk overs will be awarded, unopposed will not be awarded.
